Lake Route

Take I-30 out of Dallas and drive by the magnificent Lake Ray Hubbard before arriving at Jim Chapman Lake and Cooper. Then travel north to Paris, Texas.

Follow the highway, pass the Red River, and continue to Hugo. Hugo Lake is accessible from this location. Driving through Idabel, you’ll shortly arrive in Broken Bow.

The Sulper Springs Route

TX-276 takes you from Dallas across Lake Ray Hubbard to Lake Tawakoni. After visiting this magnificent lake, drive past Lake Fork and seek for signs to Sulphur Spring.

After your stay, take Interstate 30 (I-30) out of the city and pass via Mt. Vernon and Mt. Pleasant. At this point, you’ll begin driving north, going through Idabel before arriving in Broken Bow.

In Paris, you will find some truly odd sites that you would not expect to see in Texas, such as a replica Eiffel Tower (complete with a cowboy hat, of course!). This copy, built in 1993, is only one-tenth the size of the original tower in France, making it easier to photograph up close.

The Sulpher Springs Route

1.Sapphire Bay Marina- For individuals who enjoy being in and on the water. You can try boating, waterskiing, or any other water activity here.

2.Union Valley- Our favorite lunch spot, as well as a nice place to stop and have a cup of coffee

3.Lake Tawakoni- A picnic and a swim in the lake make for a perfect summer afternoon, weather permitting.

4.Buford Park-An accessible park with easy trails to walk around.

5.Mount Vernon-One of the rare ‘Texas Treasures’ is the neighboring Lake Cypress Springs, which is one of the best around.

6.Mount Pleasant-The Mid America Flight Museum is located here, and it houses a significant collection of planes for visitors to observe and study. A must for aircraft enthusiasts.

7.Broseco Ranch Hunting and Fishing- 13,000 acres of wildlife and big lakes teeming with Florida Bass make this an excellent hunting and fishing destination.

8.Dalby Springs– A beautiful little town with various sights to see. Los Pinos Ranch serves local meals and tea.

Broken Bow is a year-round resort, thanks in large part to the moderate winter weather. To escape the warmest months of the year, arrive between June and September.
